This fantastic toilet design named KOHLER Touchless Toilet Flush Kit is a smart toilet that helps to increase bathroom hygiene. The most remarkable function of the toilet is that its DIY retrofit system allows users to simply hold their hand above the tank and operate water flow, instead of touching the regular handle. The KOHLER Touchless Toilet Flush Kit was designed with a no-touch sensor module installed within the tank, which projects an electromagnet field on top. When the field is interrupted via a simple wave of the hand, the flushing action is activated.
“The Touchless flush is a great solution to this growing demand for increased hygiene in the bathroom. Homeowners are of course worried about the hygiene and health of their family members, and the toilet trip lever is an obvious area of hygienic concern. Touchless takes that concern out of the equation, utilizing new technology to provide a touchless way to control the flush.”, affirmed Brian Hedlund, marketing manager for Kohler’s toilet and bidet division. If you are interested in this toilet, you can order the kit online for $100 at Kohler’s website, though we also found it at Home Depot for $75.
Tiny but functional and stylish, this interesting project named Planter Bricks showcases creative concrete masonry units which are able to house a variety of greenery. Visualized by Real San Fratello Architects, the Planter Bricks modeled in 3D software can be used as beautiful and lovely flower pots to combine with traditional bricks in new masonry walls or to replace bricks in an existing wall. “The planter bricks have the potential to counter the heat island effect in big cities through evapotranspiration and pollution conversion. The plants in the wall help mediate the temperature of the micro-climate surrounding the building, buffer sound and help filter the air.”, explained the designer.
Envisioned by Italian visualization artist Michelle Damian from Pixel3D, these glamorous interior designs present an artistic blend of modern and sophisticated lines, elegant transparent plastics, certain stainless steel elements, and vibrant colorful furniture. Created by Canadian design collective Daily Tous Les Jours, this musical light swing installation named The Swings is known as a fascinating project placed in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado during the Green Box Arts Festival. The Swings was designed with an interesting structure which comprises a series of illuminated seats that trigger audible tones that harmonize when participants swing. As more and more participants join in, the act of swinging turns into arbitrarily improvised melody and light show.
“The Swings allow participants to make music with their entire bodies, to connect to one another and to have a sense of ownership of public space due to the music they create. The result is a giant collective instrument that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds. The project offers a new experience in collective music making, available to enliven urban spaces, festivals, special events, and more”, explained the designers.
